So our first adventure included a trip to a local bakery.... It was amazing!!! I've never had a croissant that tasted so good and melted in your mouth! We also enjoyed a variety of meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs and other baked goodies. After a very filling breakfast we went for a tour of the bakery. This was a local bakery that prepares stuff for their own bakery but also makes goods and distributes them to other bakeries in the area.

After the bakery tour we took a short trip across town to the CSM Innovation Center. CSM is a leading supplier of ingredients to a variety of different food manufactures around the world, with an emphasis in baked goods. Visiting their facilities was very interesting and informative. After our visit we loaded up in the vans and headed for Detmold!
